Contents of this blog about threats received from PBSO Sheriff's Deputy

Palm Beach Sheriff's Deputy Ira Peskowitz did not like seeing himself portrayed in an unfavorable light in a post on a blog about officer-involved domestic violence. Online media accounts show that prior to this, there were also fellow law enforcement officers who say that their lives had been threatened by him as well.

One of his communications to the Behind The Blue Wall blogger - from his personal email account:

"When I find you and I will, your going to understand what it's like to be a fish out of water. God help you and your family. I tracked your IP address and I'm coming for you ...... you don't know when to stop and when you do it will be too late for you to start ever again."

Though the Tacoma WA Police where the blogger lives, the Palm Beach FL Police, and the F.B.I. declined to pursue charges against PBSO Deputy Peskowitz, the Internal Affairs Division of Palm Beach Sheriff's Office did find the blogger's complaint of threats

"...to be substantiated to a level of certainty where disciplinary action would be authorized..."

Deputy Peskowitz has since become the Director and Founder of city/police program working with "socio-economically disadvantaged children" from "high-crime areas" - one of any city's most vulnerable populations:

The Kids And Police Tennis Association (KAPTA) in Palm Beach County has received a United States Tennis Association-Florida (USTA Florida) “Share the Love” grant to begin using the QuickStart Tennis format and equipment for 10-and-under children. “As a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy, and working in a high-crime area with many kids, I thought it would be beneficial to expose these kids to the game of tennis,” said deputy sheriff Ira Peskowitz, the director and founder of the KAPTA tennis program...

My two cents:
I would hope that the program survives but that another is put in the position of it's leadership - with an awareness - for the sake of the children, their families, and the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office's obvious potential liability.
